What does the type of graphic approach used as well as the audio tell you about the limits of the technology at the time the game was published?
the graphics are rudimentary bitmap images, and the audio is very simple tones. The amount of memory available for gaming at that time was limited. You couldn't do elaborate graphics or complicated music.
Describe your views about the game from the point of view of
- ease of play
very easy
- enjoyability
It's fun
c) level of engagement/immersion
immersion and engagement is high
Had you played this game prior to this time? If so, when?
No
Describe other games it reminds you of. How does it do this?
It reminds me of Space Invaders only based on real historical events, they even tried to depict the planes as they really were to the extent they could with simple graphics. The structure of simple shoot and dodge, with a 2-d flat scroll is indicative of the video games of this early era.
